Asbestos
The Asbestos Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 require exposure to asbestos or asbestos-containing materials, to be controlled.
Regulations prohibiting the use, manufacturing, import and export of asbestos and asbestos containing materials were promulgated by the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEAT) on 28 March 2008.
