NIOH Research Biennial Day: Time to rethink the future of work
The National Institute for Occupational Health (NIOH) will host the Biennial Research Day. This year’s Research Day will be held under the theme “The future of work,” focusing on the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the workplace.
This theme was inspired by the recent advances in AI and its use in research and the workplace. Particularly in terms of ethical requirements when using AI technology. Thus, the NIOH Research Committee felt that this topic was important for Occupational Health Researchers.
The Research Day aims to highlight research conducted at the NIOH by researchers and their students. This year’s Research Day will have nearly 20 oral and poster presentations. The event will be held online, thereby creating access for occupational health staff and students throughout the country to attend the event.
“Please support the research day. Your research efforts make an important contribution to the outputs of the NIOH, and this platform serves as a means of recognising your work as well as highlighting the scope of work conducted by the NIOH. We would appreciate your feedback with ideas on how to improve future research days,” urged the NIOH Research Committee Chairperson, Prof. Nisha Naicker.
